Route 66 Clothing and Jeans Review: Amazing Inexpensive Quality

Route 66 is a clothing line named after the interstate highway of the same name famed for bringing people to the West. Much like those travels the brand has that same tough appeal for the working man. Their jeans are nice wether wearing them casually just at home or on dates or working hard in the yard or any other dirty job site. Despite multiple washings and some difficult labor, Route 66 jeans take a good amount of time to wear out or fade heavily and even when this does occur they still have their use as work jeans.

Available for under $20 usually, Route 66 is both affordable and comfortable without being really cheap looking or poorly made. What's the greatest part of these jeans? They can easily be found available at discounted prices. A nice pair of jeans can routinely be found for half price over all styles and sizes. Dickies and Wranglers, while of the same kind of branding, don't usually come close in terms of price and quality.

The down side to the Route 66 brand is their relative plain or bland look. Most won't mind the simplicity because of the savings, but for those looking for a higher end, designer jean then you'll have to look elsewhere. These are found in department stores exclusively anyway so those looking for more of a fashion statement from their jeans won't find them anyway.

For folks with squarer body types, are these the jeans for you. Often even going through multiple sizes and brands I still won't find a pair that fits quite right. Either they'll be to tight on the hips or lose at the waist. I'm also fairly short, so pant length and the measurement between the waist and the top of the leg can play a big role in my selection. A pair of Route 66 jeans will fit longer, taller or skinny people as well, but for use short or husky folks it's finally nice to have a pair of jeans that truly fit properly.

While simple, Route 66 is a brand that is both affordable and long lasting when compared to the average jeans prices out there. While not one of the most popular jeans brands out there, they come highly recommended by this blog author.

Most Popular Jeans Brands for Sale for Men, Women, and Children

Jeans are one of the trendiest clothing fashions that are possible right now and while style or their casual appeal has a lot to do with it, the popularity of brands are of a heavy influence. See some don't always pick the best, highest quality merchandise available for anything they buy, especially jeans. In fact, they'll choose something that is higher value or exclusive in some way. Another example is simply picking a jeans brand that is flat out popular.

When marketed correctly, a brand name can say many things: cool, young, youthful, skinny, expensive, selective, nice, beautiful, fitting, among many others I'm sure. It costs a lot of money for these jeans companies to get this kind of message across to consumers and that is why most people will "pay for the brand" rather than the actual jeans themselves whether they realize it or not.

Some of the more well known brands are popular due to the high access people have to them. Lee Dungarees, Wrangler, and Levis are all examples of this. Some brands are more exclusive due in large part to their price and great examples include True Religion, and Diesel. Even jeans that fall into the middle somewhere garner some form of stature. Arizona comes to mind, as does Rider and Calvin Kline. Sometimes specialties can get into the mix much like Apple Bottoms Jeans. Jordache and Sonoma are other brands that come to mind that have a great brand appeal, especially to women.

A brand’s reputation is typically in the eye of the beholder more so than anything else. However, popularity leads to sales and that is what most manufacturer’s will aim for above all else no matter what they make. Most don’t buy jeans based on the brand name, however, many do and that appeal will never be lost among apparel companies.

Jeans Prices for Both Low and High End Brands

Regardless on your take on fashion or personal taste, everyone needs to be dressed or clothed in some way for both protection and out of common decency to society. Because it has such a low common denominator, everyone needs some form of pants to wear that are both affordable and comfortable. When it comes directly to jeans, a good inexpensive pair can be hard to find. If one goes to cheap, you're likely to get some that are too scratchy to wear or too tight around some body part (like the hips or the legs). The result can be a pair of jeans that don't fit very well to your body shape or made of poor materials. Of course, on the flip side, getting the higher quality jeans may be to costly a proposition for some families or individuals.

There are also, of course, the kinds of folks where price isn't the only criteria in buying a tight fitting pair of jeans. Folks will look at the brand or designer to distinguish themselves, others will look for particular styles that may be in like hip huggers or skinny jeans, flared, or bell-bottoms (yes, people still purchase these). The quality of the material also comes into play for those who have the luxury to consider such things. At a certain point your simply paying for the marketing of the brand itself rather than the actual cost to make the jeans but that's another problem altogether.

One common thread between all jeans owner and shoppers is that they're always looking for a better deal. In other words, the best ways to get a nice discount on the full retail prices of their favorite clothing. Smart shoppers take into consideration sales and bargains that stores use to entice shopping at their retail establishment and the same should be said for when shopping for jeans, either men's or women's. Whether it's a department store like Target, Wal-Mart, or K-Mart, middle of the road store like JC Penney's or Macy's or a more upscale place there are always a great deal to be had somewhere. This is particularly true with the advent of online shopping from your home computers. Often there are coupons for free shipping or money off after a certain price.

Without further ado, here is a quick list of some of the more affordable types of jeans out for sale on the market, with the exception being made for custom made fit.

This isn’t supposed to be an all inclusive list but more about giving you an idea on jeans pricing and costs based on the brands on the top of my head. Additional brands will be added and the list updated as I look into it further or upon request. In addition, it should be noted that this is for more general brands and basic styles. As you get into larger sizes, plus sized or big and tall, the price will generally go up, which make sense because of the additional material that is used to construct the jeans. Styles can also have an effect; flared jeans can be a little more expensive or any trendy features like knee holes, or washed out looks can add to the sale price.

My best advice for saving money on jeans is simply look out for deals. This is the really easy way to get around the relatively high prices that most jeans brands will go for. It allows you to get a very good deal as well on any particularly cute pairs out there you may like.
